Everyone knows that David killed Goliath, but only those who have studied scripture know that it was the 40th day of Goliath's challenging the Israelites when the teenage David accepted his demand to fight (I Samuel 17:16). David, King Saul, and the other informed Hebrews knew that the #40 was considered sacred. Later, King David ruled for 40 years (I Kings 2:11). So is it 'coincidence' that in Simple74 English74 Gematria74, the name 'David' equalls 40?! No, There Are No Coincidences - there is synchronism. I believe the number 40 somehow connects to the "HolySpirit" ..(this one talks of two olive trees)
