Revelation 17 describes the harlot (Roman Catholic Church) that rides the beast which is the Roman Empire. The Roman Catholic Church reigned from 538ad to 1798ad. 1260 years. It received the deadly wound by Napoleon in 1798 and went into exile. But in 1929 that deadly wound was healed and The Vatican and Pope became a sovereign state once again. Making it THE BEAST THAT WAS 538ad-1798ad AND IS NOT 1798-1929 AND YET IS 1929-2022. Since it was reestablished in 1929 there have been 8 kings (8 Popes) which is what revelation 17:10-11 is describing.
