In 1943, The Philadelphia Experiment was conducted with Tesla's papers, Albert Einstein's latest unified field theory attempt and top electrical engineer Kron. Through serendipity, they discovered artificial wormholes (Einstein-Rosen bridges) that science fiction refers to as "Stargates". Einstein was very upset by the experiment's results because several sailors were killed and several others severely injured. Einstein swore to keep the work a secret and he lived up to that oath. The Navy project was immediately reclassified as a 'black project' and has been clandestinely funded ever since.
