- Hi Everyone,
How does one become more "Spiritual"? Here is a short list of the do(s) and Don't(s) of how you go about - to becoming more spiritual: ___________________________________________________________________________________________
Point #1: The most important thing you need to do is: kill the ego. How? by starving it to death.
Mark 8:34-37 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whoso- ever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? ___________________________________________________________________________________________
Point #2: You must concern yourself with the concerns others (instead of your own concerns), literately letting your concerns just fall to the ground - with no-one to help except God point the way.
Note: You CANNOT ask what their concerns are, because they will not tell you, instead they will take that as an opportunity to have you help them fulfill their lusts,
...and that's something you CANNOT DO! You have to covertly find out what their concerns are, and then work to meet them. Here are some examples on what to do... ___________________________________________________________________________________________ Examples:
A. If they have no car, offer to take them to the store. B. If they are troubled, lend an ear and listen.
C. But what you SHOULDN'T DO is: offer people money, for the same reason that you shouldn't ask what their concerns are. Because they will use it to fulfill their lusts, that's why. And that's not helpful to either of you.

Hi Solique, I tweaked the opening post - this may be a topic that interests you. The concerns we have are (and not necessary in that order) (Notice how my previous examples follow this logic?) 1. Power 2. Information 3. Money ____________ God bless Ed J ( Joshua 22:34) http://www.holycitybiblecode.org |

| Hi Ed, I have found personally I have learned patience, but in the process, I have lost something. I think situations over the years have changed me, for good, and bad. I put up with verbal abuse concerning my beliefs by a friend I write to, and forum abuse, and bad spirits. All has an effect. Help me!! |

What do I feel I have lost? I don't know... (can't quite think of a word). What do you think I have?
Yes, it is good to help each other. |

Where to start? Hi Solique,
You start by starving the ego - what you don't feed dies.
Hi Ed. So how would you do that exactly? |

| Hi Solique, How do you kill the ego? I did it by starving it to D-E-A-T-H! And how did I do that? I did it by only concerning myself with the concerns others instead of my own concerns. I never peeped a word out of my mouth unless it was exclusive to the concerns that others had. I literately let my concerns just fall to the ground - with nobody to help fulfill mine except it be by God. It took me about two weeks - my ego D-I-E-D, but "I" was still there! Let me know if you have any questions. ____________ God bless Ed J ( Joshua 22:34) http://www.holycitybiblecode.org |

| Hii Ed.
So, I see, thank you. We learned something similar with my schoolwork. We learned about other orientation, and about mindful listening, and things, but i found it was easily forgotten. So starving the ego to death seems a good idea.
Just one question: If the other person is doing something you consider wrong (such as if they were verbally abusive towards people), would you say anything to them, or would you leave it unless they brought it up them-self? |

Hi Solique, I didn't say anything to anybody unless they said something to me. The kind of things that I specially would say is hard to pin down to generalize as principal to follow. But here's a story that may help. Remember my objective was to starve the ego. So Lucifer, also called 'satan', was there intentionally intending to feed the ego that I was intending to starve. This may sound like a riddle as you may not be grasping what I'm trying to tell you. So let me put it this way. Someone presented me with a printed ad flyer of (I think) out- door dining sets. You know the kind, like four chairs and a table with an umbrella attached. I cant remember how many sets were pictured: 3, 4, or 5? And he asked "which one is Good?" Let's turn this around. Give your analysis of my specific example? What do I do? What would you say? Does this example have any meaning or implications? If so what are they? Let's here your take on it, OK? ____________ God bless Ed J ( Joshua 22:34) http://www.holycitybiblecode.org |

Hi Solique, The question was geared to have me give an opinion, and that is the very thing I was avoiding. ____________ God bless Ed J ( Joshua 22:34) http://www.holycitybiblecode.org |

| I think that one way to be more spiritual is to quit debating doctrines on internet forums!
