It is not that I don't understand your work (only a small portion of which I have seen), but simply that the numbers lose impact for me when not associated with complete and concise statements of scriptural truth. I, too, have found many instances where one or two words have the same gematria values that seem to confirm the truth of Scripture such as:

The Son (H1121) of God (H430)
בּן אלהִים
86 + 52 = 138

Jesus is the "Branch": And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. Isaiah 11: 1.
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. Jeremiah 23: 5.

The association of the number 138 with both "the Son of God" and "the Branch" confirms Scripture, but is less meaningful to me compared to a complete sentence of scriptural truth such as:

When statements of Biblical truth written in Hebrew root words compute to values equal to that of words in Greek which confirm that truth, it is easier to see the association, and is much more meaningful to me; though that may not be the case for others. The method I have used can certainly be viewed with skepticism, but it is the only way that numbers seem to be of significance to me. I have not spent years in research, and have not used computer software to find the gematria associations which I have recorded, but have simply composed sentences with Hebrew root words as I feel guided by the Spirit which repeatedly confirm scriptural truth by numerical values associated with the name of Jesus, and by random numerical values which equal that of words directly related to the sentence.

The work you and others have done is far more disciplined and scholarly than what I have done, but it has less meaning for me simply because of the personal experience of inspiration which has come to me and which has led me to greater than 3,000 gematria associations in perhaps 10-12 brief periods of inspiration lasting from a few days to a few weeks over the past 41/2 years. If it were not for that personal experience I would not otherwise have much interest in gematria. Hopefully, your work will be more easily accepted by others than what mine has been.

Peace and nice to meet you! A cool thread and I like the Hebrew gematria next to the Greek isopsephy. But why haven't you included Step #2 of Simple English Gematria, i.e. Jesus=74? Have you not yet embraced this?

I notice the discussion over the inherent confusion of Hebrew going right-to-left while numbers (and music) are read left-to-right. This is known as the Left-to-Right Theory.

The ancients - especially the Egyptians where the Hebrew religion74 originated or was at least greatly influenced by - practiced sacred geometry with its premise, "As above so below". (Jesus refered to this with, "On Earth as it is in the heavens.") When facing the North Star, the Sun, Moon, five 'wandering stars' (planets) and background stars moved right-to-left - at least that's how they were perceived. Therefore, to mirror the heavens74/imitate the gods, they wrote right-to-left. The Greeks may have been the first to write left-to-right? They may have also been the first to theorize that the world is round and spinning left-to-right on its axis. Others have speculated that L2R came about because most are right-handed and you are less likely to smudge the ink going L2R. The 'universal languages' of math and music go L2R, therefore, Earth's primary language - God's Holy Tongue - must go left-to-right!

As I have mentioned in prior posts, my gematria findings come to me only during periods of inspiration and not from any ideas of my own regarding how to use numbers to study Scripture. After I was led to the above gematria associations, along with more than 20 others, I was then led to use gematria to confirm the doctrine of the Trinity, and in just a day or two found more than 30 such gematria confirmations. Whenever I go back and review what I have recorded as the result of inspiration which has come to me, my doubts as to the validity of the findings are aleviated. I am convinced that the Holy Spirit has guided me to the truth which can be found in Scripture.
