| Hi Danny,
Glad to see you made it!
"And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;" (Rev 3:14)
This verse is not talking about a creation order, but rather who is the true and faithful witness.

| Hi Danny,
Jesus cannot be 'a god' because it would violate this Scripture...
"ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any." (Isaiah 44:8)
...and the Scripture cannot be broken |

| Hi Danny,
And Jesus also cannot be "the Word" because it would violate this Scripture...
"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by "The Word" of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." (Heb 11:3)

| Hi Danny,
I believe the Scripture is clear that "the spirit of Christ" did preexist Jesus' birth, because of verses like 1Peter 1:11 that says "the spirit of Christ" was in the Prophets...
"Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow." (1Peter 1:11)

| Hi Danny,
The question that me and Nick Hassan have been discussing is
Nick Hassan believes that "the spirit of Christ" was baptized into Jesus at Jordan. I instead believe that "the spirit of Christ" is the spirit that Jesus was born with at Bethlehem because of what Micah 5:2 says...
"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." (Micah 5:2)
Here in Micah 5:2 it is clear that "the spirit of Christ" has been from everlasting. but Micah 5:2 also seems to be saying that "the spirit of Christ" came from everlasting to Bethlehem, not from everlasting to Jordan as Nick seems to believe.

| Hi Danny,
I have been studying "The Bible" for over 40 years and have learned quite a bit in that amount of time. It is good to discuss all manor of doctrinal beliefs and put them to the test as the bible says to do. I believe we can do that without belittling one another when seeing things a bit differently.
There is still more that I want to share with you on: "Did Jesus preexist his birth?" I always try not to go too fast, as new information needs time to be absorbed.

Yes, I believe that the Spirit of Christ belongs to Christ the Son of God. The Spirit of God belongs to God. Now, I believe that Christ did preexist as a real being because the Spirit of Christ belongs to Christ. Do you agree?
Danny Hi Danny, Yes, I believe the bible speaks clearly of the spirits of both of them "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and WE will come unto him, and make OUR abode with him." (John 14:23) 1. The Spirit of God (HolySpirit) Spirit of the Father 2. The spirit of Christ (Jesus' spirit) Spirit of the Son This idea is confirmed in the following verse... "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that (1)the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not (2)the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." (Romans 8:9) ____________ God bless Ed J |

| Hi Danny,
"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father." (Romans 8:15)

| Hi Danny,
It's good to see "The Bible" come alive...
"No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." (John 1:18)
The highlighted part of this verse has a deeper meaning which you now can clearly see!
